![]() ![]() The bassinet has a “parent mode” setting to save favorite sounds/motions, but I’ve never used this feature. The canopy also helps keep the bassinet shaded and slightly insulated from sounds while I’m prepping dinner, etc. During the day, while my baby is napping, the open canopy is enough to keep daylight off of her face so she doesn’t wake up. The bassinet features a canopy which can be fully or partially open, reversed to face either direction, or removed altogether. It doesn’t always stop my baby’s crying, but it always calms her enough for me to finish a task, or wake myself up enough in the middle of the night to prep for a diaper/outfit change before she is screaming. The cry detection setting is my favorite feature of this bassinet. It’s a good idea that it can be removed and washed for diaper blowouts or serious spit up, but so far spot cleaning has been easier for me than bending the mattress to remove/replace the cover. The bassinet’s mattress cover is removable, but honestly, I only spot clean it. The combination of rocking, the varying sounds and being able to see me, helps to keep my baby calm through a whole meal prep and cooking, and through doing dishes - which is so much easier than constantly having to stop what I’m doing, soothe her, put her back down, and then repeating the process over again. My baby is able to see me through the sides of the Graco Sense2Snooze which I really appreciate because I move the bassinet into my kitchen while I’m doing dishes or cooking. The mesh sides of this bassinet are much nicer than the mesh in many other baby products, which usually have thicker or doubled mesh. To be clear, the cry detection isn’t magic - it can’t soothe my baby from screaming all the way into a solid sleep, but it has definitely calmed her down many times, and she frequently goes from fussing into a light sleep thanks to the Sense2Snooze technology. ![]() And not only did the bassinet’s sounds vary with the cry detection, but so did the speed of the motions and the vibrations, which I think helped soothe her. I didn’t believe it would work, or help, but it can actually tell the difference between my baby’s coos (and my toddler’s noises) and her crying. ![]() The cry detection technology really surprised me. My baby has been sleeping in it for a week and a half and it has helped us in so many ways - it has improved my sleep (through peace of mind), and settled my baby during fussy moments, and helped her fall asleep at other times. I was given the Graco Sense2Snooze bassinet with cry detection technology to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. ![]()
